BCIR meets Roberto Costa

President of the Coordinating Committee of Italian restaurants abroad.

In recent weeks, the Italian Federation of Businesses Open to the Public (FIPE) held a significant assembly to establish the Coordinating Committee of Italian Restaurants Abroad. This initiative seeks to bring together Italian restaurateurs around the globe to advocate for the quality and authenticity of Italian culinary traditions while combating imitations that threaten the reputation of Italian cuisine. Newly appointed president Roberto Costa expressed his honor in leading this exceptional group, emphasizing that Italian catering abroad transcends mere commercial activity. It serves as a powerful tool for gastro-diplomacy, showcasing the richness of Italy's culinary heritage and fostering cultural exchange. Through this collective effort, the committee aims to strengthen the presence of authentic Italian cuisine worldwide, reinforcing its values and heritage against the backdrop of an increasingly globalized culinary landscape.

The BCIR will host a dinner event with Roberto Costa and other prominent representatives of the Italian Culinary scene around the world in April 2025.
