BCIR & Friends

The first official meeting of the new Business Club Italia of Riyadh (BCIR), a Think Tank created to promote dialogue between leading Italian and Saudi figures in the economic, cultural, political and academic sectors, was held in Riyadh in the wider-than-usual format of "BCIR & Friends" (which allows the partecipitation of non members). The BCIR initiatives aim at consolidating relations between the two countries, offering a point of reference to the Italian business community present in Saudi Arabia and organising exclusive events in honour of important Italian guests visiting the Kingdom. On Monday 9 December 2024, in the suggestive location of Palace Al Hokair, over seventy Italian and Saudi guests participated in a confidential discussion on the current challenges and opportunities for developing business activities in the dynamic Saudi market. The discussion was enriched by the intervention of H.E. Hon. Luigi Di Maio, special representative of the European Union for the Gulf Region and by contributions from prominent figures such as Sheikh Al Majed Al Hokair, H.E. Ambassador Carlo Baldocci, H.E. Senator Raffaele Fantetti, Dr. Vittorio Rocchi and Eng. Luigi Lando. The evening opened with a networking aperitif, during which participants were able to appreciate a selection of typical Italian products, expertly prepared by chefs -specifically sorted and sent to Riyadh- from different regions of Italy.
